SINGAPORE – May 12, 2026 – Franklin Templeton, a leading global asset manager with over US$1.74 trillion in assets under management, today announced the appointment of Jiun Wen Chee as Head of Private Markets, APAC Wealth[1].
Based in Singapore, Chee will focus on expanding Franklin Templeton’s private markets franchise across the region. He will work closely with the firm’s investment, distribution and product teams to bring Franklin Templeton’s private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure capabilities to wealth clients across Asia Pacific. He reports functionally to Jeff Masom, Head of US Distribution and Global Wealth Management Private Markets, and regionally to Christian Bucaro, Head of Wealth, Asia.
Chee’s appointment comes as demand for private markets strategies continues to grow among wealth clients in Asia Pacific. Franklin Templeton’s alternatives AUM reached US$286 billion as of April 30, 2026. The firm raised approximately US$23 billion in private markets over the past two quarters, with Asia Pacific, especially the wealth channel, contributing strongly and underscoring the region’s importance to the firm’s private markets platform.
